Whitewater Paddling at Bright (3Hours)

AUD $145.00
  • Duration: 3 Hours
  • Location: Bright

This adventure is at Bright and offers grade 1 and 2 white water suitable for beginners. We begin this adventure with some basic paddle skills on moving water, guiding for your level of experience and adjusting our coaching as appropriate. After an initial paddle through some easier rapids we portage the kayaks to the faster water below the Bright river swimming hole, then traveling along the spectacular Ovens River through increasingly challenging rapids (grade 1 and 2 level) and the Bright Gorge.

In spring, summer and autumn we will experience a range of grade one and two whitewater rapids through the gorge at Bright - starting our trip by meeting near the Ovens River at Jenvey's Swimming Hole, where we allocate Rafts or kayaks, rig with life jackets and helmets, etc ,and car shuttle your vehicles to the pull-out point. We then kayak down river learning how to negotiate the rapids as we go, finally finishing our trip at Ashwood Avenue.

A great adventure suitable for those looking for an achievable challenge. Suitable for 8 years plus (a basic swimming ability is required).
