In summer you can experience an enjoyable and exciting 3 to 3.5 hour whitewater kayak adventure starting at Mount Beauty Pondage and following the Kiewa river down to the picnic area at the Ryders Lane bridge. We experience over 15 grade one and two rapids while the river travels through some spectacular scenery - We will normally use single sit on top kayaks but also have some single packrafts and double inflatable rafts available as well. Suitable for 13 years plus (a basic swimming ability is required).

• Days: Selected weekends, summer school holidays or by arrangement
• Times: By arrangement; normally Mornings 9:00am to 12:30pm; Afternoons 1:30pm-5:00pm
• Location: Kiewa River, Mt. Beauty
• Age Guide: Suitable for 13 years plus (a basic swimming ability is required). The river is not deep and you are wearing a lifejacket, but you must be comfortable with moving water in case you fall in.

• Crafts we use for the trip: Single person packrafts or inflatable sports rafts for two people 
• What's Included: Two leaders, all safety equipment (helmet, lifejacket etc), kayaks and paddles.
• Meeting Place: Near the Mount Beauty Pondage running into the Kiewa river, on the left hand side of Embankment Drive
• What to Bring/Wear: 

- Bathers(underneath), shorts and a T-shirt or top depending on the weather. Some participants prefer to wear a wetsuit - recommended for those of slight build. 

-Towel, warm clothing and a spare change of clothes

-sunscreen, water and snacks

- Personal items, eg. Personal medication
