A full day of snowshoeing where we explore some of the backcountry areas of Mount Buffalo as well as marked snowshoe trails. We will also discuss snow camping, the use of ice axes, crampons and other backcountry access and safety tools. The importance of understanding severe weather (when not to go) and avoiding or preparing for avalanche risk will also be included. Also communications safety and use of PLBs etc.
